Tamarack is a summer camp near 07044 that offers a wide range of programs designed for children aged 3-15, catering to their specific physical and developmental needs at each stage. Beyond acquiring new hobbies like swimming or baseball, your child will develop a host of valuable qualities, including independence, confidence, teamwork, a willingness to explore new activities, determination, social and emotional intelligence, integrity, leadership, and resilience. The Tamarack Experience is further enhanced by central transportation, a comprehensive lunch program, and a 37-acre facility featuring a heated Olympic-size pool, a Pro-turf sports complex, air-conditioned studios, a skate park, ropes course, and zip lines. These amenities are designed to foster these life skills within the framework of a traditional day camp while providing a fun and adventurous experience for your child.
Tamarack offers specialized programs designed for our youngest campers, known as the Munchkin Division, catering to families living near 07044. We provide flexibility with options that include 5-full-day, 3-full-day, and 5-half-day choices while maintaining a low camper-to-staff ratio to ensure personalized attention.
Our Munchkin Specialists are specifically trained to work with children aged 3, 4, and 5. They lead a range of age-appropriate athletic and creative activities, aimed at enhancing motor skills. Additionally, our comprehensive swimming program ensures that every child learns this essential life skill.

For 1st graders, we introduce exciting adventures like the Zipline and Giant Swing, along with engaging activities like GAGA. Meanwhile, 2nd graders have the freedom to choose their weekly activities during the CHOICE period, including an opportunity to participate in our Learn to Bike Program.
In our Explorer program, campers delve into a wide range of activities, including modified traditional sports, creative arts like ceramics and drama, and a comprehensive Learn-to-Swim Program in our state-of-the-art aquatic facility. They also get to experience the excitement of our meticulously inspected and certified ropes courses, beginning with the Confidence Course.

Choices abound for our Senior campers, from participating in the annual Drama Production to showcasing their talents in special Dance routines, with performances being a central feature of the camp experience.

Tamarack’s exclusive Teen Travel Program is tailored for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders near 07044, offering a dynamic blend of exhilarating day trips and engaging camp activities. On camp days, our teens follow a well-structured group schedule, participating in activities such as free swim, Ropes Courses, and a variety of athletic and creative pursuits. Our experienced counselors provide guidance and support throughout these on-site activities.
When venturing off-campus, our Teens are held to the highest safety standards, complying with Tamarack’s Travel Safety Protocols. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, both Teen Travel campers and their parents must agree to our Teen Travel Behavior Contract.
A dedicated Division Head oversees the Teen Travel Programs, both within the camp and on trips, ensuring seamless coordination and supervision. Our Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively manage campers in public settings and address the unique challenges that come with the early teenage years.

Tamarack’s Leader-In-Training (LIT) Experience is a transformative program designed for 10th graders living near 07044, offering them a unique opportunity to develop crucial leadership skills that will serve them well in their future endeavors, including their first jobs and college life. This program acts as a bridge, helping them transition from being campers to becoming counselors.

One of the highlights of the LIT program is the adventurous 6-day leadership trip in collaboration with Windsor Mountain.
