Summer Camp near Pine Brook, NJ

Pine Brook offers a range of programs designed for children aged 3-15, tailored to their specific physical and developmental stages. Our goal-oriented approach ensures a supportive environment where campers can cultivate various skills and essential life competencies. We strive to create purposeful opportunities for personal growth, fostering a summer experience that fosters confidence, independence, and overall well-being. In addition to learning new activities such as swimming or baseball, children will develop traits such as independence, teamwork, adaptability, determination, social and emotional intelligence, integrity, leadership, and resilience. The Pine Brook experience is enhanced by convenient transportation, a comprehensive meal service, and a spacious 37-acre campus featuring amenities like a heated Olympic-size pool, Pro-turf sports complex, air-conditioned studios, skate park, ropes course, and zip lines, all aimed at promoting these important life skills within the enjoyable setting of a traditional day camp.

3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)

Pine Brook offers customized programs for our youngest campers, including 5-full-day, 3-full-day, and 5-half-day options within our Munchkin Division. We maintain a low camper to staff ratio to provide personalized attention. Our Munchkin Specialists, trained to engage with 3, 4, and 5-year-olds, facilitate a range of scaled-down athletic and creative activities focused on enhancing motor skills. Additionally, we prioritize a comprehensive swimming program to ensure every child learns this essential skill.

Our program places emphasis on social development, fostering respectful and confident interactions within a group setting. Dedicated meal times and spaces cater to the nutritional needs of our young campers, all within a caring and supportive environment.

3 5 Year Old Summer Camp Learn to Swim Near Pine Brook

Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)

At Pine Brook, the Explorer program adapts to the developmental stages of campers. First graders are introduced to thrilling activities like the Zipline and Giant Swing, along with engaging in games like GAGA. Second graders have the freedom to choose from various weekly activities during the CHOICE period, including participation in the Learn to Bike Program.

Explorers also partake in modified traditional sports, creative arts such as ceramics and drama, and a comprehensive Learn-to-Swim Program in our modern aquatic facility. They also have the opportunity to experience the excitement of our inspected and certified ropes courses, beginning with the Confidence Course. Throughout these activities, Explorers cultivate social and emotional intelligence, fostering collaborative and respectful interactions within a supportive environment.

1st and 2nd grade Summer Camp near Pine Brook

Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)

At Pine Brook, junior campers participate in a variety of creative and athletic activities, including twice-daily swims, and are introduced to advanced pursuits such as Archery, Mountain Biking, and High Ropes. They have the freedom to select preferred activities through the CHOICE program to develop their skills further. Special events like Junior Late Nights extend camp access with additional activities and a twilight campfire.

Junior campers engage in a wide range of sports on full-size fields, improve their biking abilities through a comprehensive program, and explore their creativity in air-conditioned art studios. The state-of-the-art aquatic facility supports their swimming progression, while the ropes course offers various challenges. All activities aim to promote social skills and teamwork within a bully-free environment at Pine Brook.

3rd and 4th grade Summer Camp near Pine Brook

Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)

Senior campers at Pine Brook engage in a diverse range of activities, including advanced sports like soccer, football, tennis, and lacrosse, alongside creative arts such as ceramics, music, and cooking in air-conditioned studios. They have access to specialized athletic and creative programs aimed at skill development and gameplay. Day trips, particularly to places like Camelbeach, are highly anticipated. Senior Late Nights offer unique experiences with dinner, additional activities, and twilight campfires.

Their schedule includes swimming in a state-of-the-art aquatic facility with tailored swim lessons and free swim sessions. The comprehensive ropes course offers climbing, ziplining, and repelling for adventurous spirits. Options include participating in the annual Drama Production or special Dance routines, with performances being significant highlights of the camp experience. Throughout, the emphasis is on fostering social skills, teamwork, and personal growth within a supportive, bully-free environment at Pine Brook.

5th and 6th grade Summer Camp near Pine Brook

Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)

At Pine Brook, our 7th, 8th, and 9th graders participate in the exclusive Teen Travel Program, alternating between invigorating day trips and engaging camp activities. On camp days, teens follow a structured group schedule, participating in activities like free swim, Ropes Courses, and various athletic and creative pursuits, all guided by our counselors.

During out-of-camp adventures, teens must adhere to Pine Brook’s stringent Travel Safety Protocols. Each camper and their parents must agree to our Teen Travel Behavior Contract to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. A dedicated Division Head oversees the Teen Travel Programs both in camp and on trips. Our Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public settings and address the unique challenges of early teenage years.

7th 8th 9th grade Summer Camp near Pine Brook

Social Development

At Pine Brook, camp counselors guide groups through team-building challenges and competitions to foster teamwork, support, and communication skills. Pine Brook maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and is dedicated to cultivating a nurturing environment where children and young teens develop vital emotional and social skills.

10th and 11th grade Summer Camp near Pine Brook

LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)

The Leader-In-Training (LIT) Experience at Pine Brook is designed for 10th graders, offering them essential leadership skills and practical experience applicable to their future endeavors such as their first job and college. Serving as a transition from camper to counselor, the program emphasizes problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork. LITs assume meaningful responsibilities and receive constructive feedback to prepare them for success as staff members.

The program includes a 6-day leadership trip with Windsor Mountain, focusing on teamwork, leadership, and responsibility while encouraging teens to step out of their comfort zones. This experience not only contributes significantly to the camp community but also enhances personal development and future opportunities for participants at Pine Brook.
